Our Story

We are unlocking the potential for happiness, productivity, better relationships, joy, and fulfilling life.

In Nigeria, a country with vast potential and diverse communities, I see numerous individuals facing the effects of stress, emotional and mental imbalances, and brokenness caused by various challenges such as childhood trauma, societal expectations, and other factors. These struggles hinder their productivity, limit their life experiences, and ultimately restrict their potential. The data shows that mental health issues are prevalent in Nigeria, with a significant portion of the population grappling with these challenges. According to a survey conducted in 2022, it was found that 1 in 4 Nigerians experienced symptoms of a mental health disorder.

To unlock the potential of people and communities, our nation needs to prioritize and address the mental health of its population. As a young adult growing up in Nigeria, I personally experienced the effects of mental health challenges. I vividly remember my own struggles with mental health as a student and the profound impact it had on my well-being and productivity.

What was even more glaring was the lack of support and the difficulty in gaining access to professional help and the therapy I needed to recover. This experience provided me with a front-seat view of the detrimental effects that the lack of good mental wellness can have on someone’s quality of life. It laid the groundwork that gave birth to the establishment of Mycarebuddy, a startup on a mission to tackle this pressing issue and unlock the potential of individuals by providing accessible therapy.

At Mycarebuddy, we aim to engage more people and empower them to overcome their mental health challenges. Data-driven research conducted by our startup indicates that early intervention and support significantly improve outcomes for individuals facing mental health issues. By offering accessible and affordable therapy services, we envision a future where no one will have to endure the burden of mental health challenges alone. Instead, individuals will be optimally positioned to unlock their true potential, just as I was able to do by receiving the mental health care I needed.

At its core, Mycarebuddy is focused on unlocking the potential for happiness, productivity, better relationships, joy, and a fulfilling life. Our startup aims to assist individuals in becoming the best versions of themselves. Data from our pilot programs have shown promising results, with participants reporting improved mental well-being, increased productivity, and better overall quality of life.

The name Mycarebuddy encompasses the essence of our brand; it captures our friendly disposition and approach to providing care that will profoundly impact people’s lives. Our commitment to data-driven approaches ensures that our services are effective and tailored to the needs of the Nigerian population. With a vision to revolutionize mental healthcare in Nigeria, we are poised to make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and communities across the country.
